We have a deal for you! The third annual Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour is in the planning stages, and we are looking for sponsors.
In exchange for donating products or money, you can reach people interested in gardening, sustainability, and fresh, home-produced food in the following ways:
• • Feature your business on the Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour website, Facebook page, t-shirts, and other tour-related products.
• • Receive valuable word-of-mouth advertising. Coop award winners in several categories will receive items donated by our sponsors. Not only will these be featured prominently on our website with a link to your website, but you can count on them telling their chicken-raising friends about your product.
• • Reach new markets. Urban chicken-raising is a new phenomenon. Many city dwellers don't know where to find chickens, coops, brooders, feed, and all the products necessary to successful chicken-raising. Last year, one coop owner counted nearly 1,300 visitors, most with questions about how to get started. Some people came from Houston, Dallas, and all parts in between! All of these visitors are your potential customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to get the word out if you have a product of particular interest to poultry fanciers! For example, Mobile Chicken Coops sponsored a raffle for one of their coops, which generated an enormous amount of interest at the information center and on the website after the tour.
