Thank you so much for your interest in showcasing your backyard coop on The 4th Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour! Please read all the information below before submitting your application. This will ensure that you have gathered all the facts and haven't missed the opportunity to show off your coop and of course your flock of chick-ee-dees!

As Austin's chicken ambassadors, I'm sure you would agree that every backyard coop should follow basic guidelines for the safety of friend and fowl alike.

The deadline for applying for the 2012 Tour was 1/22/2012. We hope you'll come see the fabulous coops on the tour and consider applying next year.


Rustle up 3 "Wranglers" to help you. Last year, one coop owner reported nearly 1,300 visitors!!

Wrangler Guidelines

Wranglers help the coop owners by:
· Greeting visitors and directing them to the coop
· Checking visitors’ “tickets” to verify they have paid for the tour
· Keeping track of the number of visitors
· Directing traffic if necessary (i.e. reminding visitors not to park in front of
neighbor’s driveways)
· Helping visitors follow visitor guidelines
· Making sure visitors respect the owner’s property
· Assisting the coop owner in answering questions
· Relieving coop owner when needed for breaks
· Relaying information to/from the coop owners or tour committee members
· Performing miscellaneous tasks as needed

If you should decide to accept this chicken mission, please proceed without bawking.

Remember, the early bird catches the worm! The sooner we receive your application, the sooner we will be able to determine if your coop meets the preliminary requirements.

THE DEADLINE IS JANUARY 22, 2012 TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE
CONSIDERED FOR THE 2012 TOUR. NO EXCEPTIONS.
